JB Announces Partnership with NOVENT

JB Industries has entered into a partenership with NOVENT to supply the HVACR channel with refrigerant locking caps for the service ports of systems.  NOVENT created the original tamper resistant  refrigerant locking caps to help prevent access by unauthorized personnel.  The pateneted caps are secured on to a unit with a special key sold only to certified HVAC technicians and provide a tamper resistant barrier to reduce theft, vandalism, the accidental mixing of refrigerant, and to deter "huffing". The ICC developes codes and standards to which systems need to be compliant.  Each state and municipatlity adopt codes at their discretion.  Refrigerant locking caps are now required on outdoor refrigerant systems to be compliant with IMC 2009 1101.10.  States and municipalities are adopting IMC 2009 as it comes up in the adoption process.  Are you and your customers up to code?  Here is the latest list of adopted codes by state and by jurisdiction.  Air conditioning is under the IMC (International Mechanical Code):

DV-41 SUPERNOVA Digital Micron Gauge 

The Supernova (DV-40 and DV-41) is the next generation of digital vacuum gauges. The Supernova features a large, easy to read LCD screen that can be read in various units of measure at a long distance. REVOLVER Ball Valve Manifold

JB introduces the latest addition to our manifold family, the REVOLVER.  The Industry's first all ball valve manifold!! Four internal metering ball valves can do finite openings for liquid charging.  Study brass construction with hose holders that swivel to the front or back for greater flexibility.  Handles are a quarter turn to full open and close with gradient marks to help in liquid charging.  The full 3/8" bore lets you work quickly and efficiently.  As always, the REVOLVER is Made in the USA. New Heat Pump Manifold

Heat pumps use the same refrigeration cycle for heating and cooling.  A heat pump can change which coil is the condenser and which is the evaporator by way of a reversing valve.  Using a traditional manifold to service a heat pump is not advisable as the low side of the gauge will be damaged when the system goes into heating mode.  Therefore, both gauges of the manifold must be designed to handle the high pressures of the heating mode.  The JB heat pump manifold has two 3-1/8" glow-in-the-dark Class One 1% accuracy gauges designed with 800 psi to handle the heat pump pressures.  Because of the significant temperature glide on R-407C, the pressure-temperature scale has two sections.  For temperatures below 50 degrees, the scale is based on saturated vapor (dew point DP).  For temperatures aboutve 50 degrees, the scale is based on saturated liquid (bubble point BP).  Use the DP for superheat calculations and the BP for subcooling calculations.  

New Enhancements to Eliminator Vacuum Pump

JB has made some enhancements to our ELIMINATOR Vacuum Pump.  Now with a 1/2" NPT handle for more ergonomic fit and to help exhaust more effectively.  The oil capacity has increased for cooler running temperatures and reduced contamination.  We have increased spacing between the intake tee and handle to give you more room to operate.  The oil fill is located on the cover for easier oil filling.  We have changed the paint to a heavy duty hammertone material that will resist heat from the sun on rooftops.  Still completely field repairable and 100% Made in the USA.  For more information CLICK HERE.

The new JB Torque tool is unique to the industry.  Our tool automatically sets proper torque.  Calibrated to precise torquing requirements for core valves, the tool will no longer tighten once proper torque is achieved.  Eliminates the guesswork which results in under or over torquing leading to leaks.  Works on all Schrader valve cores.
